DQE announces content deal with WDTVI India

Hyderabad-based
animation and entertainment company DQ Entertainment (DQE)
has announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Walt Disney
Television International (WDTVI) India for three of its animated
series - Twisted Whiskers, Ratman and Sandra.
The shows will be aired on Disney multiplex of channels in
the coming months.
Commenting
on this deal, DQE Chairman and CEO Tapaas Chakravarti said,
"We are extremely happy that the Disney multiplex of
channels has acquired three of our properties for broadcast.
This is a landmark deal for us and heralds a new beginning
for the licensing of our properties in this region."
Twisted
Whiskers, a CGI animated TV series has been co-produced
by DQE, American Greetings and Taffy Entertainment, USA while
Ratman, an animated TV series in traditional 2D animation
has been co-produced by DQE and Stranemani, Italy. DQE and
Spain's Imira Entertainment have jointly produced TV
series Sandra.
The
new shows will be aired for Disney audience in India, Bangladesh,
Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. WDTVI India
is responsible for all of The Walt Disney Company's free and
pay television activities across India and South Asia.
