launches Diploma in Animation Design for art students

Bangalore-based
WIZTOONZ Animation Academy has introduced a Diploma course in Design
for Animation which is specifically designed for art graduates.
All the students who have completed their education in Fine Arts,
Commercial or Applied Art or Art Foundation Diploma from WIZTOONZ
will be eligible for the same. The first batch of 15 students will
start from July 14, 2008.
The
one year full-time course will have modules focusing on the pre
production processes of animation filmmaking, including modules
on pre production and conceptual design fundamentals, Character
Design, Environmental Design, Property Design, Digital Production
Design, Film Language, Story Boarding, Layout Design, Art Direction
/ Colour Styling and a project.
Speaking
to AnimationXpress.com, WIZTOONZ Animation CEO Sreedhar
VT shared, "Through this course we are exclusively trying to
generate manpower for pre production. The complete focus of the
course is hence entirely on pre production skills like storyboarding
and styling. The course will be headed by our seasoned faculty member
Prince Paikattu."
Design
for Animation and Film is a pre production course designed to educate
and train students in the pre production design process and methods,
in both traditional and digital mediums. The students shall be taken
through the creative design process including the conceptual development,
design and visual storytelling of a film.
