jury members are having a tough time choosing from the array of
entries for the CNBC Animation Awards. But all of them are having
a gala time too going through the entries and are pretty impressed
with the works of the Indian artists.
Our

experience as jury member was extremely positive and I really feel
proud that our industry has evolved and matured now. We definitely
have a large amount of talent ready to demonstrate the original
content creation. This jury has really opened up the fact that India
is now ready for an Indian short film festival. The amount of student
films that we have seen is truly amazing and a large amount of students
have fearlessly explored new styles of animation. We had a unique
method of doing evaluation of these films over ten different parameters
right from originality to treatment, story line to composition.
The whole process was very enjoyable as well as thought-provoking.”

experience of being a jury member for the CNBC Animation Awards
was quite fantastic. I enjoyed the two days I was there for the
sifting. As far as the entries are concerned, I was overwhelmed
by the participation and quality. I didn’t expect the kind of standards
that were shown in both, the students’ as well as professionals’
categories in short films. That one was my favorite.
I also
enjoyed the Best Animation Style category. We have a long way to
go in the space of animation in any case. I would advocate that
companies with larger infrastructure and reach also participate
in such initiatives.”
