Graphiti
announces Fido Dido Action Shorts to launch in 2008

Fido
will be here again with his cool Fidosophies as Graphiti Multimedia
announced that it is in pre production stage on Xtreme Shorts featuring
Honest Entertainment property Fido Dido. The thirteen one minute,
music-driven action shorts will feature a 3D Fido applying his unique
Fidosophies to the universe of extreme sports. We can expect to
see him wakeboarding, surfing and parasailing into the Nicktoons
US line-up sometime in 2008.
Speaking
to AnimationXpress.com, Munjal Shroff of Graphiti
shared, “We are still in the pre production stage, getting into
the production once we finalize on the initial stages. Presently
the team is working on the script, visual styling and story board.
We are also experimenting with the styles as ideas are coming up.
It will be 3D but in a very stylized manner. Joanna Ferrone is actively
collaborating with the team at Graphiti.”

7UP worldwide,” he said.
“Graphiti

these days,” said Joanna Ferrone, “and we think Nicktoons will be
the perfect partner to showcase Fido Dido’s five central ‘Fidosophies’:
It’s cool to be you; Normal is boring; Your best friend is your
head; Dare to be different; and Life is short, live it up.”
When
asked how Graphiti and Honest join hands up with this project, Munjal
replied, “We have worked with Honest earlier for The World of OO…,
and Joanna has been happy with our work. She wanted to extend the
relationship with Graphiti through Fido. She felt that the team
at Graphiti would bring a lot more zing into Fido.”
Sharing
about the challenges, Munjal said, “It is interesting that the character
of Fido is hip, cool, completely unruffled, not into any kind of
controversies, impartial…. basically it’s all about being himself.
The animation needs to be personified in this way. We are also developing
new characters, new look and feel.”
“Fido
and his entire approach to things are the biggest USP of this project.
It’s all about his ability to turn any situation to his advantage
and about how he manages to cut across. Fido is an iconic character
in the world. It’s been two decades and he is still very cool, hip
and modern. He has stood the test of time and hence is a unique
property.
This
will be Fido’s first adventure into series animation since he was
“born” on a cocktail napkin in 1985. With the combined creative
talents of Graphiti Multimedia and Honest Entertainment, the launch
of the Fido series is sure to be Xtreme indeed!
