Close
on the heels of its deal with Cartoon Network where the Kids
Broadcaster has taken three years rights for its animated
series Akbar Birbal, Pune based Phoebus Creations has shared
with Animation 'xpress that it is working on an animated feature.
The
studio currently has a team strength of about 40 people and
is looking to ramp up to meet its project needs.
Phoebus
Creations CEO Rahul Bakshi shared,"We are working in
collaboration with Anushvi Productions on an animated feature
with a mythological theme. We have been working at this since
the past eight months and the pre production, scripting and
story boarding is already complete. We plan to release the
feature by end of this year or early next year"

Productions was the producer for Phoebus' recent venture Akbar
Birbal too. The 13 x 22 series is directed by Vijay Kashyap
with technical direction by Bhavik, Supriya and Abhijit. Akbar
Birbal airs on Cartoon Network Sunday mornings at 10.00 am
with a repeat telecast the following Saturday at 8.00 pm
The
studio has also picked up an IP of a famous Indian author
and is working on a
animated TV series based on it.
