Autodesk,
Inc. has appointed Microsoft's Rajiv Nair as regional director
for the Indian sub-continent.
Nair
was Microsoft Corporation's Indian subcontinent operations
president and Microsoft Asia senior strategic advisor.
 He
is widely credited with building Microsoft's presence in the
subcontinent region over a 13 year period. Nair held several
positions with Microsoft including managing director, regional
director, and president of the Indian operations.
"We are witnessing a period of very rapid growth in the
region. Rajiv's appointment is an extension of Autodesk's
increased focus on the region, and the formation of the APAC
Emerging Geo. He brings with him immense experience which
Autodesk can leverage in India to achieve our business goals,"
said AutoDesk vice president -APAC engineering Geo Dr. Jack
Q Gao.
Based in New Delhi, Nair will be responsible for Autodesk's
strategy and growth in India.
