Cookie
Jar Entertainment Inc., the company behind many of the most
revered brands in children’s entertainment, has appointed
Jean Gauvin Creative Director. The announcement was made by
Toper Taylor, President and COO.
Based
in Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.’s Montreal office and reporting
to Senior Vice President of Marketing, Kelly Elwood, Gauvin
will oversee creative and artistic direction for the entire
Cookie Jar Group. His responsibilities will include a variety
of corporate and broadcast projects ranging from corporate
branding and licensing style guides, to development bibles
and websites.

Gauvin
will be involved in the creative areas on behalf of such globally
renowned Cookie Jar Entertainment brands as THE DOODLEBOPS,
which airs to impressive ratings daily on The Disney Channel
in the U.S., while the brand continues to amass an array of
leading licensees in all key categories; CAILLOU, which is
soon to begin its fourth season on PBS in the US with all-new
episodes garnering praise from media and educators alike;
and ARTHUR, which continues to remain a preschool staple with
leading broadcasters throughout the world.

in creative design to his Cookie Jar position. Immensely talented,
Gauvin brings a graphic vision that reflects the innovative
positioning of our corporate and individual brand identities.
Under the direction of Kelly Elwood, Gauvin will play a fundamental
role in shaping Cookie Jar’s global entertainment, licensing
and corporate creative image,” said Taylor.

Prior to joining the company, I had the opportunity of working
on THE DOODLEBOPS style guide as a consultant to ensure the
theme of a music inspired rock ’n roll show for preschoolers
was accurately reflected. Now, as a full-time member of the
team, I am thrilled to be involved all of Cookie Jar’s innovative
entertainment brands,” said Gauvin.
Gauvin
joins Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc. with more than 20 years
of experience in the graphic design, creative and licensing
fields. Most recently, Gauvin served as Vice-President, Design
& Communications for Effigi Inc. where he managed a group
of more than 35 design professionals.
Gauvin
is the recipient of numerous graphic design awards in Canada
and the United States and is an active member of the Quebec
Graphic Designers Society.
