Nipuna
Services Ltd, Satyam Computer's BPO subsidiary and the eSCM
Capability Level 4 service provider, has signed a deal along
with 4K Animation GmbH, a German animation company for various
animation projects.
The
deal size is worth Euro 7 Million (equivalent to $ 8 million)
for animation.
4K Animation focuses on the development and production of
innovative digital special effects and 3D character animation
for film and TV productions.
According
to an announcement placed by the company in the Bombay Stock
Exchange (BSE), Nipuna will work jointly with 4K Animation
on animation projects for a Hollywood film (an International
action, adventure and fantasy motion picture directed by Paul
Nicholas), 3D Animation for TV production and commercials.
"Nipuna
has been investing continuously to build its niche competencies
and best-in-class execution services. The 4K Animation engagement
is a significant milestone in validation of our high class
delivery outsourcing strategy," said Nipuna Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) Venkatesh Roddam.
Nipuna
will provide VFX and CGI services along with the German company.
The 4K Animation global team with professionals from seven
nationalities would be working along with Nipuna team on the
same projects. Nipuna will deliver these projects from its
delivery centers in Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.
