Leading
Indian game development game studio Paradox has announced its alliance
with India’s leading entertainment house Shemaroo to create a Mobile
game for the promotion of CAT Films’ upcoming release Yun Hota
Toh Kya Hota.
The Mobile game was simultaneously released on leading networks
across India along with the movie release last week.
The
movie Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota is a concoction of four different
stories about four different people with one destination – America.
Capturing the flavour of the movie, Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota is a puzzle-based
Mobile game set in a maze where players can choose to play as any
one of the movie’s leading stars – Konkona Sen (Tilottima), Paresh
Rawal (Rajubhai Patel), Irfaan Khan (Salim Khan) and Ankur Khanna
(Rahul Bhide). The game’s objective is to get to the centre of the
maze by collecting all the scattered documents for the US trip and
get to the exit in a limited amount of time.
Based
on the plot of the movie, each character faces a unique set of obstacles
in the game. While Konkona’s character has her mother-in-law chasing
her, Paresh Rawal has to avoid the consulate officers. Irfaan Khan,
playing a gangster in the movie, faces cops in the maze and Ankur,
playing the character of the poor Rahul Bhide in the movie is required
to collect as much cash in the maze as he can.
On
the alliance, Salil Bhargava, CEO of Paradox commented, “Movie-based
games are catching up fast with the casual gaming audiences in India.
Paradox has already created popular games based on bollywood content
and Yun Hota Toh Kya Hota’s distinct storyline provides for an interesting
premise for a Mobile game. We look forward to a great response from
the audiences”
