Bollywood & TVCs have always been a staple diet for Mumbai based animation & visual effects major Visual Computing Labs. what with a working relationship with the Bollywood Biggies like Yashraj Films, Sahara Motion Pictures and Dharma Productions.

Working within the Narrative: VCL's VFX for Neal N Nikki

Of late the studio has increased its thrust in the Bollywood market and is working with a whole lot of film makers. It is also eyeing International Motion Picture markets besides Hollywood and Bollywood.

Amongst recent Bollywood releases that the studio worked on include Neal N Nikki and Home Delivery and forthcoming releases include Rang De Basanti, My Father Gandhi and Dhoom 2.

While both Neal N Nikki and Home Delivery haven't done much on the Box Office, VCL has put in interesting creative inputs for the VFX in Neal N Nikki.

Speaking to Animation 'xpress, VCL Creative Director Pankaj Khandpur stated,"VCL's VFX work for this funny 'young' romantic film includes transitions, motion effects and the film logo/credit sequence. Interesting inputs are the creation of 'designed' backgrounds, inserts, and supers to work within the narrative of the film. About 15 minutes of VFX has been delivered by VCL for Neal N Nikki"

In the TVC space VCL has recently worked on a fun TVC for cheetos...live action composited with 2D. Other commercials include Diptrix, All Out, Huggies, Santoor , Cadburys.
