The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will be hosting a FICCI Networking Luncheon Session during MIPCOM on 18th October 2005 at Hotel Carlton.

Planned as an informal session for business networking, the sponsors for the luncheon include Crest Animation, Maya Entertainment Ltd, Graphiti Multimedia and KINFRA. The guestlist for the exclusive affair includes representatives from international studios that have partnered/outsourced or are potential partners to the Indian animation industry .

FICCI's Sumeet Gupta commented to Animation 'xpress saying," As part of projecting and promoting Indian Industry, we have scheduled a FICCI Luncheon Session during MIPCOM. Depending upon response & industry feedback, we might scale it up and explore other possibilities as well"

Adding more on MIPCOM, Sumeet said,"MIPCOM is one of the biggest Animation & TV Markets globally and is a great place for business and networking. One can meet almost each and every one from the industry. From FICCI's perspective, it is quite an important Market for us to be present. We are able to showcase and project the Indian Animation & TV sector and make the overseas studios interested in working with their Indian counterparts. Also, it is a good place to promote FICCI - FRAMES and FICCI BAF Awards"

Following the MIPCOM luncheon, FICCI is also holding a Round Table in Toronto (CANADA) on 26th October. To be preceded by a reception / dinner on October 25th the one day event in Animation would be attended by related business and government representatives.
