Over
500 delegates from the world of 3D mechanical design and engineering
recently gathered at Bangalore for SolidWorks World India 2005,
a conference and exposition organized by SolidWorks Corporation
which is amongst the world's leading 3D design software Companies.
The
event highlighted the theme "Helping Companies Achieve a Global
Competitive Advantage," and featured global design and manufacturing
trends, best-practices with customer success stories, a product
design showcase, a partner pavilion, technical roundtables, an education
symposium, networking sessions, and contests to help SolidWorks
users in India hone their skills and discover new techniques for
innovation and productivity.
The
presenters included well-known industry speakers such as Dr. Soumyajit
Ghosal of National Institute of Design
One
of the highlights that were well-received was the partners' pavilion
that showcased products of SolidWorks solutions partners such as
HP, Alias, Elsa, SolidCAM and Z Corporation among many others.
Speaking
at the event John McEleney, CEO of SolidWorks said, "We brought
the SolidWorks World to India to provide the growing SolidWorks
user community in India a platform to share ideas, participate in
valuable learning activities, test their skills, and join in some
networking and group activities. Through this event, users discovered
how they can leverage SolidWorks for greater business success."
