working on multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have excellent
verbal and written communication skills, pro-active management,
and leadership skills are a must. The role will require the Technical
Director to build on the already established programming team and
help develop new skills on various platforms and therefore it is
essential the candidate has development experience of the current
generation of technology e.g. the PC, Xbox360, PS3, PSP, DS and
Wii platforms.

Knowledge Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in overall game
development life-cycle, including significant milestone planning/execution
and product submission processes
- Experience in leading team of
programmers including hiring, reviewing, project management and
mentoring
- Experience and high level of understanding
in the field of game engine and tools architecture and good software
engineering practices
- Excellent analytical and communication
skills
- Self-motivated and passionate
about video games
- Strong leader and mentor
- Proficient in assembly language/low-level,
graphics microcoding, scripting language and strong 3D graphics
programming
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all technical
processes and technology within the studio
- Providing strategic planning and
direction
- Providing detailed, insightful
direction to programmers as to how to approach the creation of
new technology
- Developing an in-depth knowledge
of engine and technologies available within the studio and all
sister studios
- Participating and feedback on
programmer phone and office interviews
- Developing technical design specification,
implementation and test plans
- Contributing innovative ideas
towards all aspects of game technology, production, and design
- Hands-on management, direction
and mentoring of a diverse team of programmers
- Providing accurate schedules and
time estimates for work
- Meeting production schedules and
deadlines
- Pro-actively recognizing problems
and areas of improvement, and developing solution strategies
