Ranked
by 'Animation Magazine' as one of the 'Top 15' feature film
studios in the world, RichCrest Animation, the wholly owned
US subsidary of leading Indian animation studio Crest Communication,
has recently bagged a contract from the $2 billion American
Greetings for producing 2 computer animated shows. |
A release
from Crest quotes the CEO A K Madhavan as saying, " While the
pre-production and post-production services would be provided from
RichCrest Animation, the production services would be undertaken
by Crest out of its studio in Mumbai, India. The full-service approach
provided by RichCrest Animation and Crest Communication offers a
great opportunity for our potential clients to enter the industry."
Continuing
he added,"It is a significant development as far as we are
concerned. It is a matter of privilege for both RichCrest and Crest
Communication to be able to gain the confidence and begin to work
together with the world's biggest name in social expression products.
Especially, amidst intense competition from some of the world's
leading computer animation studios".
The Crest CEO however refused to comment on the size of the contracts
and the details of the properties that the company has been successful
in bagging to develop from American greetings.
It must be noted however, that regardless of the size of the current
deal, association with the social expression products giant holds
great potential for Crest.
