Dawsen inaugurates new Harmony based setup

Kolkata based Dawsen Infotech, creator of the Zee Bangla hit animated series Thakurma'r Jhuli has announced the inauguration of its new production pipeline based on Toonboom Harmony.

Speaking to Animation 'xpress, Dawsen CEO V C Bhalotia stated,"We have been creating our own IP in animation quite prolifically for the regional and local markets for quite some whilenow. Since the first TV production of "Thakurma'r Jhulie", the company has been growing at a phenomenal rate and we are flooded with enquiries from abroad. This new setup the registration of our studio in the STP are a step in that direction"

"We are beginning work on a direct to DVD soon. The content will be based on Folk Tales." he added.

 
IGT selects ATI for nex gen casino gaming machines

ATI Technologies Inc one of the frontrunners in standalone graphics globally announced recently that it has been selected by IGT to power casino gaming machines on IGT's next generation Advanced Video Platform (AVP®) architecture.

A company release quotes Ali Saffari, Senior Vice President of Engineering for IGT saying "We chose ATI for its performance leadership and commitment to deliver superior solutions with comprehensive support. ATI will enable us to strengthen our products with enhanced game play and deliver a new world of gaming entertainment"
