SIGGRAPH 2005 - An Overview
SIGGRAPH 2005, the 32nd conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques, attracted 29,122 artists, research scientists, developers, and academics from 81 countries to Los Angeles last week.

Amongst many of the shows highlights are the Keynote address by George Lucas, Also Major Animation studios like Disney, Dreamworks, Sony Imageworks unvieled concept art of their forthcoming features; emergent technology exhibits; life drawing sessions ......

Indiagames to develop & publish content for Univesal's Serenity
Indiagames has signed a worldwide licensing agreement (excluding Japan) with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group to bring wireless content based on Universal Pictures' upcoming futuristic action-adventure film Serenity, to mobile phone users. Serenity is a futuristic action-adventure film scheduled for release in the Unites States and Canada on September 30, 2005.

The gaming company will develop Serenity Space Shooter title, allowing gameplay as Captain Malcolm of the Serenity spaceship in a top-view flying game.

"We have wanted to do more business with Universal for a long time and we are really excited to see this through," stated Vishal Gondal, CEO of Indiagames.

 
Raju & I bags it at The Education Channel's 2005 Independents' Film Festival (IFF)
We have stopped counting the awards now, and maybe Animation 'xpress should reserve a permanent space on its index for this perennial award winner.

The awards ceremony and theatrical screening is scheduled for Friday evening, September 16, 2005, at the Tampa Theatre in Tampa Florida.
