2008 begins!
Amidst
a valley in the Alps, by the lake
in a picturesque, pretty, artisans
town, its underway and its
simply fabulous! For
all those who are not at Annecy,
you are really missing something!
This is a really special festival
and the fact that India is the
country of honour adds to this

Official
Indian entries In the competition:
Famous House of Animations and the
equally famous animation personality
from India E Suresh is once again
nominated for a couple of his films
including Neeki aur Pooch Pocch
and Papa Chunilal. Being
nominated is life as usual for Suresh,
though Annecy is always special. Also
in the official nominations is Ahemadabad
based Vama Communications, a film
production house which recently started
its animation wing by the name Vama
Toonz. In the past eight months, this
11 member team has produced 8 short
films of which one called Vibrant
Gujrat revolving around raas garba
is here in the official annecy competition.

VincentLeGarrec
as he called himself,
was a student of Ecole
Europeene Supereure
De l' Image. From
an arts background,
Vincent moved into
animation around a
year ago. "I
completed my first
short film a few months
ago" he shared,
"Unmatindepeche'
my film can be seen
on my blog at http://blog.shivart.com.
We are around four
students in my batch
and had a choice of
doing our own short
film as a group or
alone, I preferred
to make the entire
film on my own."
